  MOL organized the Program of Career and Income Creation for the unemployed

 

          MOL by Department of Skill Development together with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and Government Saving Bank (GSB) arranged the 3rd program of career and income creation for the unemployed and people of Bangkok to have vocational skill training in order to generate more income to their families. The exhibition was officially opened by Mr. Phaithoon Kaeothong, Minister of Labour, along with Mr. Yup Nana (Assistant to Minister of Labour), Mr.Weerachai Thavornthon (Advisor to the Minister of Labour), Mr.Kapach Nimmanheminda (Secretary to the Minister of Labour), and the officials at Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) clubhouse Bangkok.
          At 11.00hr on 5th November 2009, Minister of Labour revealed after the opening ceremony that MOL had organized this program to be in line with the "Three Less, Three More" scheme which are increase employment and job positions, provide alternative occupations, and offer skill development. The project had sponsored by GSB which offered business loans with 6% interest rate per annum or 0.5% per month. Previously, the program was successfully held twice at Bang Rak and Bang Phlat district. The 3rd exhibition was intended for people in Klong Toey district including nearby communities and would be further expanded throughout Bangkok and nationwide in order to provide skill training for the unemployed and general public income creation, Mr.Phaithoon said.
          The vocational training courses were specifically separated into 7 categories which are Pork Noodle Cooking, Making of Japanese Food (Sushi), Cooking Chinese Steamed Buns, Making of Thai Fresh Spring Roll, and Preparing Thai Traditional Style Coffee. Moreover, there were 6 franchises joining the exhibition which are Meatball Pork Noodle with Spicy Chilli Galiang, Chicken Noodle with Chinese Bitter (Tasanai Chinese Bitter), Pork Satay (Yingheng Premium Satay), Teochew Congee, Noo Dee Blended Ice-cream, and Nestle Coffee.
          Moreover, there were several Public Relation booths from Department of Employment, Office of Employment Bangkok Area 8, Office of Labour Protection and Welfare Area 8, and Social Security Office.
