On 15 November 2009 at Siriraj Hospital, Mr. Phaithoon Kaeothong, Minister of Labour, stated after calling on insured people who seeked medical treatment at the hospital as well as to enhance good image of the hospital in order to conform with Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva’ s policy aiming to provide benefits to entitled insured people. The entitled insured people seeking medical treatment including tumor, kidney disease, cancer in which the medical expense is piling up to high cost, could serve medical treatment without any payment as well as receive compensations during lack of income”, Mr. Phithoon said. In addition, Mr. Phaithoon also commanded SSO in all provinces to call on the insured patients in the hospital where registered in social security system. In this regard Bangkok Social Security Office will call on the insured people in 13 hospitals and Provincial Social Security Office will call on 1 hospital in each province. Minister of Labour indicates that most insured people seeking for medical treatment at Siriraj Hospital were the insured person as prescribed in Article 39. There was only 1 insured person who exercises rights according to Article 33. The insured patients will stay on 3rd floor, Pava Building which is arranged for 7 rooms containing 7 beds in each room. |
