Minister of Labour visited Sharp Company and delivered labour policy on 3 less and 3 more to Sharp Appliance Co,.Ltd. He also expressed his admiration of the executives of the company for not laying off the entire 2,200 employees during economic crisis.
Mr.Phaithoon Kaeothong, Minister of Labour, revealed after his visit at Sharp Appliance (Thailand) Co,.Ltd that he admired the executives of the company for not dismiss the employees totally 2,200 people during economic crisis. Moreover, “3 less and 3 more” policy, including reducing contribution payment to social security fund at 2%, saving money from social security at the bank and loan to laid-off employees at low rate interest for doing business and DOE’s vocational training with 160 baht allowance provided, helps the employees to surmount economic crisis. In addition, it is considered beneficial to the company in remain employing since the recovering economic situation has been gradually recovering leading to labour shortage in some workplaces where laid-off their employees. Therefore, minister of labour delivered policy to DOE to train and develop labour’s capacity to meet workplace and labour market demand.
Mr. Mitsuo Nakashima, Managing Director of Sharp Appliance (Thailand) Co,.Ltd. expresses sincere appreciation to authorities under supervision of MOL, Chachengsao for supporting the company’s business activites. He stated that the company could well cooperate with Labour Union as being awarded the best enterprise on labour relation and labour welfare 2007-2009 for 3 consecutive years.
In this regard, Sharp Appliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was formed for 22 years which was the manufacturing base and export of home appliances such as air conditioner, microwave oven, water oven healsio, air purifier, iron generator, and facsimile. The company has 2,200 employees. |
