Thai language and Thai Culture Week was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei 

             The Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei will hold the Thai language and Thai Culture Week during 25-29 March 2010 at the Grand Hall of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (university of Brunei Darussalum) in order to 1) boost the popularity of Thai language among Brunei students to have Thai language training in their syllabus starting from 2010 and to set up Thai book corner, 2) create the academic cooperation between Thai and Brunei universities which universities in the southern part of Thailand were invited to join the exhibition. Moreover, the exchange program, which 7 Brunei students and lecturers went to the study trip in Thailand (already organized during February 2010), was created to help students to understand the situation in Thailand and bring sufficiency economy principle to introduce in Brunei. Furthermore, the Thai club (Sawasdee club) was already established in their country. In this regard, Mr. Phithak Phrombubpha, Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei, revealed that the main objective of the program is to help Thai and Brunei people learning and using language to communicate each other more to create a strong relationship and other cooperation in the future. One of the activities in the exhibition is to invite Thai people who has come to work in Brunei and brought good reputation to the country to demonstrate their abilities such as
               The Thai chef, who prepare meals for the Brunei Royal family, and most importantly, the Islamic leaders in 5 southern provinces who came to Brunei to exchange their knowledge and learn about Islam in Brunei which they peacefully live and learn with foreigners. Obviously, the community development plan in Brunei can be applied and implemented in the southern part of Thailand.
               Additionally, in the event there are more activities and exhibitions which are: 1) Thai book and Thai Language Corner, 2) Thai Art and Way of Life, 3) Thai Fabric, 4) Thai Music, 5) Thai Food and Desert, 6) Traditional Table Setting with Carving Vegetables and Fruits, 7) Traditional Thai Games and Kite Flying, 8) Thai Products Corner such as Thai exported products, Thai herbal drink, seasoning, herbal medicine, and traditional decoration, 9) Exhibition and Demonstration such as cooking thai food, vegetables and fruits carving, kite making, thai traditional dance from 4 regions, thai boxing, and thai papaya salad championship 2010 participated by students and Brunei general public.
               The Office of Labour Affairs in Brunei will prepare and host the following activities: 1) Thai Kite Corner and demonstration to urge Thai workers to spend time in social activities and receive more incomes 2) Thai Papaya Salad Championship 2010 for the audience to participate in the events.
               Therefore, please help broadcasting the events and all Thai people are invited to join the Thai language and Thai Culture Week from 10.00 hr – 17.00 hr.
