 Taipei Labour Affairs Bureau accelerates to raise injured Thai workers

 

                    According to the affray between Thai workers and Vietnamese workers at the restaurant, they also set a fire in the restaurant in the morning of 6th November 3009 at 3.30 pm causing 3 deaths and 7 serious injured people which are currently admitted in Chang Gung hospital, Tao Yuan district, Taiwan.
                  Taipei Labour Affairs Bureau, therefore, assigned Mr. Virat Taoprasert, translator, and Mr.Chingchai Saeper, Assistant Director of Employment Promotion to call on Thai workers in the hospital and coordinate with police in charge of the lawsuits since the time of occurrence. However, the injured people were unable to entirely give testimony. At present, Office of Labour are accelerating to investigate more information and closely provide more assistance from relevant employers, employment agencies, Thai worker fellowships and Taiwan state authorities as well as informed their relatives in order for injured Thai workers to receive full assistances regarding either lawsuit, medical treatment or entitled benefits.
                   In this regard, Taipei Labour Affairs Bureau called on Thai workers and emphasized on avoiding intemperance, drugs, affray, gambling also always comply with employer’s rules. This occurrence is deplorably. Therefore, Taipei Labour Affairs Bureau asks for coordination from the employer and employment agency to seriously raise Thai works.
