The result of social security fund management; gained profits almost twenty-thousand million baht.

                  
          On 17 November 2009, Mr.Phaithoon Kaeothong, Minister of Labour of MOL, revealed that SSO received the report form SSO regarding management of social security fund and compensation fund ends on 30 September 2009 in which its investment capital status on 30 September 2009 was 650,204 million baht in total, divided into child allowance and old age fund for 519,689 million baht, fund for sickness, death, disability, giving birth for 89,718 million baht and unemployment for 40,796 million baht. All investment capital will be invested in high stabilized security (such as government bond, state enterprise bond guaranteed by Minister of Finance, bank deposit, and debenture) totally 520,677 million baht or equivalent to 80 percent of investment, also will be invested in risk capital such as debt securities, capital and common shares) totally 129,527 million baht or equivalent to 20 percent of investment.
             In this regard, the overall operation in the first 9 month of 2009, social security fund gained profits from investment totally 19,984 million baht with its return back to 12 month at 6.82 percent per year by calculated the value of security in the market.
             Mr. Phaithoon further affirmed that all 9.19 million insured people can believe that a total sum of money shall be invested worthily and transparently. He delivered a policy to SSO to accelerate solving the problem of shortage of consultant in investment professional because in the future, the fund would be growing up to billion baht worth. Simultaneously, in 2014, old age pension will be paid. Besides, regarding corruption charge, it shall investigate to bring the offender to take responsibility on it.
