On 20 November 2009, Mr.Phaithoon Kaeothong, Minister of Labour assigned Mr. Hitomi Morita, Vice President of Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF) leaded by Mr. Takashi Nishida along with Thai director of FujiKura,(Thailand) Co,Ltd paid a visit for discussing on guideline for improving labour relations management system. In this regard, Fujikura (Thailand) Co,Ltd has been founded for more than 25 years with its affiliates more than 10 companies which operates in cable and wire assemblies, electronic and telecommunication devices with approximately 500-10,000 employees in each company or about 33,000 employees in total. Therefore, the company set a future plan by getting approval from representatives of employees and administrators of its affiliates. Minister of Labour gave an interview that the acquisition would reduce cost and generate occupations, income and manufacturing and could impose additional taxes. At present, the economic situation has been recovering leading to an increasing of purchase order, decentralization management would attributable to inefficient manufacturing and marketing management. The merger and acquisition would thoroughly decentralize and not need to outsource the manufacturing. However, minister of labour instructed explicitly that each affiliates has operated differently, therefore merger and acquisition should focused on equal standard of labour relations and benefits to prevent a disadvantages. Moreover, his assigned policy should be maintained and balanced the quality of labour relations among Thai administrators and Japanese administrators.
