 Riyadh Labour Office conveys his greeting to the Thailand’ first Ambassador posted in Libya

 

                 On 18 November 2009, Mr. Opas Chantrasab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Tripoli, handed his credential to H.E.Mr.Embarak Abdalla Al-Shamikh, Secretary of the General People’s Congress with an address where it was highest honor for the first Thai Ambassador in Libya and his name would be inscribed in Thai-Libya history.
                    The Ambassador also discussed with the Secretary of the General People’s Congress on both countries’ relationship and cooperation in trade, investment and energy-related. Besides, The Ambassador informed Secretary of the General People’s Congress that currently there were Thai workers working in Libya approximately 20,000 people. He therefore asked Libya government to raise them and the Secretary of the General People’s Congress would assign relevant authorities to consider his requests. Additionally, Libya government and Libyan citizen expressed his greeting where the opening of new Embassy in Libya as well.
                   On this occasion, Mr. Vithoon Sukawattanakul, Labour Councilor also expressed congratulations with new Ambassador where handing credential s to the Secretary of the General People’s Congress as the first Ambassador of Libya. The Ambassador stated that to enhance labour relationships, the Embassy officially invited the administrators of MOL to visit Libya so as to strengthen relationship between state entities and private entities which was considered to be the opening of new labour market in Libya officially. He also played down to Thai workers working in Libya in order to encourage them and to consider sending labour officers posted at the Embassy to protect labour’s benefits in which it tends to be continually growing higher.
