Japan hosted APEC HRD 2009 under the topic of “Implementing Public TVET Programmer in the midst of the Financial Crisis” during 18-20 November 2009 in Tokyo. There were 16 members countries jointly participated in the meeting namely Australia, South Korea, United State of America, Brunei, Chili, Republic of China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippine, Vietnam and Thailand. In order to achieve the objective of the meeting and serve member countries’ turn, the host country has set the schedule of the meeting starting from keynote address by the expert of the host country over Japan’s economy during economic crisis and skill development as a tool for solving economic problem followed by the report the educational record of the representatives from U.S.A., Australia, and Republic of Korea. As part of Thailand, Director General of DSD (Mr. Nakorn Silpa-archa) represented Thailand to speak of Thai economy in the past and present age and skill development as a tool to solve this problem. His address was descried from a large number of attendants. In this regard, the host country also invited the representative of Embassy in Tokyo to attend the meeting as an observer in which Thai Royal Embassy assigned Mr. Kamol Sawadchukaew, Labour Councilor to attend the meeting.
