On 20 March 2008, Mr. Pronchai Yooprayong, Deputy Permanent Secretary, opened the training on “Computer Crime Act B.E. 2551” first group (the total will be 5 groups). The training was organized by Computer and Networking Management Group, Computer Technology and Communication Bureau, Ministry of Labour. There were 40 officers and government employees attended the training with lecturers from Electronic Trading Committee, National Center for Information Technology and Computer, Bureau of Government Technology Services and Research Institute and Consultancy, Thammasat University and Bureau of Administration and strategy, Royal Thai Police. At present, information technology has involved more in our daily lives, particularly on communication and trading business though electronic. As a result, the government has initiated the Act on Electronic Trading for Government Sector B.E. 2544, the Act on Criteria and method for Business Trading for Government B.E. 2549, the Act on Computer Crime for Government B.E. 2550 which will take effect on 18 July 2007. Ministry of Labour realizes that the important of enforcement and distribution of laws to officers. Today training was aimed at providing understanding on laws that related to information technology and preparing officers for the implementation of the laws. |
